PMA is pleased to annouce its entry into an exciting new service, electrocoating, commonly called "e-coating". E-Coating is an immersion process where metal is coated with a resin, similar in process to conventional metal plating. Traditional to the automotive business for coating auto frames and fixtures for rust prevention, PMA's process goes further into decorative coatings. Unlike inexpensive auto epoxy types, our advanced process is urethane-based in nature.

Typical applications include plumbing and shower hardare/trim and fixtures, customized decorative auto and cycle accessories including rims, hinges, jewelry,guns, metal lighting fixtures, door hardware, locks, eye glass frames, golf club heads, zinc die cast products,as well as nuts,bolts and screws. E-Coating is quite thin (4-14 microns). It bonds to metals extremely well. For translucent color applications, the dyes are UV safe while withstanding solvent or corrosive environments. The process is a very "green" process. There are no pollutants or hazardous by-products and waste. We believe it is the future green alternative process to conventional plating or anodizing.

Size Capabilities: Our current process configuration limits us to products no larger than an automotive tire rim. We are also capable of constructing custom-sized tanks for larger products. We do not do auto frames or fenders.
Color selections: basic black, both gloss and satin, clear, gold,copper,bronze,black nickel, blue-chrome(hexavalent tone), blue, green, red and yellow.
Other product processing: since many products coming from China are "chromed", we can strip chrome to its nickel base and provide beautiful conversion coatings. We will soon be setting up a nickel line for preparing base metal conversions.

Imaged aluminum is offered for short run nameplates including 2-D barcodes or serialized data plates. Thicker white metals are laser cut for design and fabrication of short run metal pieces.
